Exhausting and it feels great !!

A total of 70 Kms trip racing against the chennai heat and humidity.

A group of seven people started from from Tidel park at 6:15 AM to hit Mutukadu and back before the sun comes out to spoil the fun. Every one were one time and we started not a second later than 6:15 from Tidel taking the ECR route to Mutukadu.

ECR seems to be the haven for cyclist as I saw 4 more cyclists fully geared and speeding down the highway.

No one had any incidents and we made it to Kovalam by 7:45. then we started back and had our breakfast near mayajal, two of our fellow cyclists went ahead to hotchips and the five of us had pongal and puri for breakfast.

Back on the saddle and this time the destination was home. with the sun just peeping out his head we had our fingers crossed to reach home before 10:00. The group showed good pace and we were making hay while the sun was not shining.
I reached the checkpost and had to take a detour to sholinganallur.

from then on its 2km to OMR and 12 kms from there to pallavaram. I would say the last 30 mins would be the most difficult of the lot., not because i was riding fast or the terrain. Its when the sun was at its brightest and was zapping all of my strength.

Its like the cryptonite for all the cyclists. even superman cant escape it. luckely I made it home just in time around 10:30 and when I look at my speedo it has clocked 70Kms in just over 4 hours.

was an awesome experience in the end will have to do this again some other time.
