Last night ( Monday evening), I went to watch 2012 at satyam cinemas. My ends were over and I thought the best way to honour and kick start the vacations would be with a super-cool movie. Much excited by the trailers I thought I would go watch this movie. Let me tell, THIS MOVIE IS FREAKING MIND BLOWING!!!!!. Trust me, the only way to find out that they had used graphics was the fact that they could not have really damaged Michaelangelo or rip apart the Rio de Janerio. The very fact that such things could not have happened in reality forces you to believe that they are graphics. The Visual Effects were stunning especially the ones were the Tsunami strikes the earth. However like all other English movies this one too had the same storyline where the guy at the lower cadre always supports man kind and the guy with higher power follows rules and protocols during such emergencies! The story does go highly unscientific when they claim that neutrinos cause a physical reaction. ( yet we call such stuff a sci-fi :P) As such the movie doesnt have a great storyline but it keeps all the audience at the edge of their chairs. The amazing visual fx start right from the first and the whole movie is about how the hero and his family get saved. ( I will not reveal any more of the meagre story!! )
Overall this movie deserves a 4.5/5!!!
