I was just reading about the CAT 2009 fiasco. CAT, the entrance exam to the business schools in India, which for the first time employed an online format this year, had such a miserable start. On day-1 , servers had crashed across several test centers and from the reports, about 14% of the centers failed and over 10% of the candidates could not take the test.

I was surprised that premier management institutes that impart education and training to prepare future managers could not manage their own admission exams. Also, for a country like India, that boasts of IT prowess, isn't this a huge embarrassment?

On top of all these, I couldn't believe that the coordination committee has not apologized to candidates who could not take the test.
