Fellow Indians, do you want Commonwealth games?

There has been no dearth of arguments about the Commonwealth Games, no dearth of budget, corruption, planning problems. And why are we still going ahead with this?

In this blog, Rishabh Bhandari extols the prospective 2% temporary increase GDB growth, similar temporary local employment benefits. Do you as Indians think this justifies the 30000 crore expense? That is 30 thousand crores! OMG!

The most important factor is the mood of the nation.
What do you feel about these games?

I think we are completely disconnected. Firstly, the Commonwealth games is a sad reminder India being a British colony.

Secondly, the popularity of the commonwealth games is questionable. Have you ever watched the commonwealth games on TV? Have the TVs even covered the games before?

The popularity of the commonwealth games is very questionable. And people have better things to do than spend a lot of money on such little known ventures.
