Until today I thought that the Red Savina Habenero was the hottest pepper out there. Apparently, the credit went to the Indian pepper "Bhut Jolokia" in 2007. Read an article in the Hindu today that the Indian army is planning to induct hand grenades developed at the DRDO using this pepper. In HOT Scoville scale, the Bhut Jolokia measures about a Million units, whereas your Jalepeno is more than 100-fold less spicy than the Bhut Jolokia!
