The best hatchback car in India
Recently was doing car surveys to find out a small car to buy, and my god the list is endless.

I started out with Chevrolet Beat, latest car with great power , funky looks and mileage but did not give me the drivers feel that i was looking for. when I sat in the drivers seat that's when you realize that the car was built for 6 feet tall people.

my next option for ford Figo decent looks and good handling interiors were crappy but it can still be considered.

while I was deciding between the two a new car was launch Nissan's Micra. great on paper poor on showroom. Nissan has given a whole load of features in this tiny car and the manufacturing plant happened to be in Chennai. But to my disappointment the finishing was pathetic and somehow it didnt fit my taste.

but on the way to the Nissan showroom something caught my eye in front of Tata motors. Its a white Fiat Grande Punto test drive car. I checkout the car and the first impression it makes is totally awesome. the build quality of Fiat is just not comparable to any other car in the segment and when you sit on the driver seat it gives you a comfort like non other.

Maruti's swift and Ritz comes close but I would any day buy a Fiat in comparison to a Maruthi. Infact the swift is slightly overpriced than the fiat grande punto.

Skoda fabia and Volkswagen polo have a competitive price which is affordable but I am not sure if the same would be true for spare parts and service maintenance.
