Chetan Bhagat, from nowhere, made a splendid entry into the fiction world, just like Buddha cut through the rigorous hindu traditions. He claims to write semi-auto biographical novels. I am only seeing myself in each one of his novels either as Alok, Govind or Krish. A fixed formula used by him in all his novels is evident but still each one is very impressive, refreshing and he is not denying that fact either. Love, sentiment and satire are certainties in his novels with equal priorities to each one them.
His stories push me, after reading every chapter, to rewind mode and make me think that, ah! I too came across this incident before but the critical dfference is that it erases the past painful feelings of same incident and injects pleasant feelings as a tag to it.Though there are several nail biting moments in his stories, none of them really makes me feel tense about it. I only feel like, now, how is our hero is going to puzzle out this situation? He creates such a positive vibrations through his narration and all those vulgar words ( Sequences - prenuptial sex) created by him, either to express shock or love doesn't appear to be rough-cut at all, when it comes particularly from our well-disposed Chetan.
