Pilot Andre Borschberg celebrates after successfully completing it's first 24 hours test flight landing the solar-powered HB-SIA airplane at Payerne airport Switzerland.
It has demonstrated by staying in the air indefinitely, recharging its depleted batteries using 12,000 solar cells with the rays of the sun during the day.
The emissions-free jet managed to climb to 8,535 meters and reached top speeds of over 75mph.
