Although the entrance to San Francisco Bay was named the 'Golden Gate' 89 years before the completion of the Golden Gate Bridge in 1937, I suppose many visitors are disappointed when they see that the bridge is, indeed, painted international-orange. To find gold you've they've got to arrive pretty darned early (yawn) in the morning.
