The year 2006, I was a very lean and mean guy running full pace in a hot hot summer day, light as a butterfly, flying to the finish line. I finished in 2 hours and 14 mins and am still terribly proud of the brass medal. That was 5 years and 25 pounds back.

This time, it is the world most scenic San Francisco marathon. The beautiful Golden gate bridge is where the runners will thump thump thump to claim the marathon race. Thanks to abundant over confidence I registered for the half marathon on July 31st.

As of now, I am huffing and puffing my daily 4 mile fun and in no shape to see the finish line. To my alarm, I just found that I have to finish every mile in 13min 45 seconds to be officially considered a "finisher". I still got 4 more weeks to go and God save my legs. To be honest, I am a bit scared about the half marathon. I am not so sure if I will finish.

While it hurts a lot, it also feels great to get back into shape. Lets see if I can pull it off.
