Great shots! You have a wonderful eye for colors. You have mastery of long exposure photography and these photos come out superbly.

The western slope of my beloved Mount Tamalpais is a steep drop-off to Stinson Beach and the Pacific Ocean below. And I don't quite know what it is, but I usually feel a sense of power when looking down at dramatic beauty. For a brief while I feel like a 'god of the fog'.

And when conditions are just right, a secret treasure of gold floats on the surface of one of Mount Tam's lakes.

So here's the secret of reflections like this: The water must be shaded. The color comes from illuminated surroundings in a forward direction beyond. Colors will usually have more emphasis if shot early or late in the day.

And you know, if we could as her, I'm sure this fern would say that she treasures her future progeny, just as much as a human or any other kind of mother.

Spiders are treasure hunters also. Nothing more tasty, I suppose, than the juices of a big and fat flying bug. Yummy, yum, yum...
