Michele Bachmann seems to be the most glamorous candidate to represent the Republican party in the 2012 presidential election. This is definitely a surprise for me, because I had expected Sarah Palin to contest this time. Sarah Palin would have been the most popular celebrity in the Party. Sarah Palin has not announced contesting yet, and it appears to be a too late to do that now.

In my opinion, Both Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, the two top women contenders from the Republican party do not seem to exude a lot of seriousness or sobriety required to contest in the presidential election, much less occupy the White house.

Coming back to the contender now, Michele is a Tea party supporter. Her wikipedia page says, "she earned a Master of Laws degree, worked as a tax attorney". Most interestingly wiki also says, "was a foster mother for 23 teenagers". Now that is interesting.

She is a supporter of the pro-life movements, and claims that she has been active since the 70s. Protesting and picketing in front of abortion clinic is one thing, but actually doing something constructive is completely another things. The fact that she was a foster mother for 23 teenagers is remarkable. Now that is a far cry from Sarah Palin who quit her Governer position to take up a job in Fox news channel.

Now, I am not going to pick on her for her mis-quotes or tongue slips.
She is patriotic and passionate in what she does, and that is what matters.

I am impressed with her, now lets see if she makes it through the primary.
